About the Author:

Amy E. Tracy After Amy's first child was born three months prematurely, she started a support group and newsletter for parents of premature children. Her efforts were recognized by the American Institute for Public Service. She is the coauthor of Your Premature Baby and Child (Berkley, 1999) and the author of The Pregnancy Bed Rest Book (Berkley, 2001). Amy is an active volunteer, speaker, and advocate for improving prenatal and neonatal care.Dianne I. Maroney Dianne worked as a neonatal nurse for over thirteen years before her third child was born fourteen weeks early. She is an active member of several organizations working to improve the healthcare of premature infants.Judy C. Bernbaum, MD Dr. Bernbaum is Director of the Neonatal Follow-Up Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Jessie R. Groothuis, MD Dr. Groothuis served as Director of the Neonatal High-Risk Follow-Up Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and The Children's Hospital in Denver.
