When I was writing this book I started with the opening line "I smelled blood." It's still one of my favorite openers. Little did I know that the character who was bleeding out in the alley behind Glory St. Clair's shop would cause so much trouble. Hope you enjoy Real Vampires Get Lucky.

Lucky Carver is quite a character in this book and she even shows up in a future installment in the Real Vampires series. She is bossy, opinionated and trouble for everyone. It's fun to write a larger than life character like that. Lucky breaks all the rules. I think I lived vicariously through this bad girl. I also introduce Israel Caine here. He's the hot rock star who will keep coming back for more in future books. Yes, he's a fantasy man and I admit I fell for him. I hope you enjoy Real Vampires Get Lucky. And may you get lucky too!
