This companion volume to the author's Read On covers a number of very practical matters of concern to teachers, and is likely the very first handbook that provides a step-by-step program for implementing a conference-based writing program. The experienced writing teacher will find the book useful, but it should be especially valuable to teachers who want to bring writing into their classes but would appreciate some straightforward suggestions on how to proceed.
