Synopsis
Growing up in the South, Hannah believes slavery is normal. One night after General Grant issues General Order # 11, which requires all Jews to evacuate the territory under his command, Hannah and her family must flee a mob accusing them of war profiteering. On her long and treacherous journey to the North, and facing discrimination for the first time, Hannah is forced to re-examine her beliefs.
