Grade 2-3?In this simple beginning reader, two young girls are planning a special tea party. After agreeing on a menu, locating a tablecloth and old picnic basket, and having fun washing up, the two friends are horrified to find that a naughty younger brother and his dog have gobbled down their party food, but they forgive him when the find out it's the dog's birthday. Told in six brief chapters, the story has appealing watercolor illustrations, many of which are full page, that bring the story to life.
