Synopsis
A knowledge of medical terminology is essential for many health care professions. This self-teaching text provides a interactive, comprehensive guide to the language of medicine. The text also provides a comprehensive glossary/index which cross-references the text, as well as a list of common abbreviations. This third edition has a unit on pharmacology and microbiology, and case examples to illustrate how words are used in practice.
