About the Authors

Dr. Bhasha Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Shivaji College, University of Delhi, India. She received her BSc (2011) in Polymer Sciences from the University of Delhi, and completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2019. Her research interests revolve around sustainable polymers for packaging applications, environmentally benign approaches for biodegradation of plastic wastes, fabrication of bionanocomposites, and finding strategies to ameliorate the electrochemical activity of biopolymers.

Dr. Vijay Chaudhary is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, India. He has completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Netaji Subhas University of Technology, University of Delhi. His research area of interest lies in processing and characterization of polymer composites, tribological analysis of fiber based polymer composites, water absorption of fiber based polymer composites, and surface modification techniques related to polymer composite materials.

Prof. Prakash Chander Thapliyal is a Senior Principal Scientist in Advanced Structural Composites and Durability Group of CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, India. He did his master’s and doctorate in Organic Chemistry from University of Delhi in 1994. His research focuses on the synthesis and development of polymers, resins, nanomaterials, paints, coatings, pigments, corrosion inhibitors, composites among others. He is a fellow of Institution of Chemists, member in several technical committees of BIS and other professional societies, and has won several technical awards for his contributions for successful commercialization of technology along with the best technical paper prizes in international conferences. Currently his group is working in the field of renewable materials based paints and green corrosion inhibitors.

Prof. Vijay Mannari is a Distinguished Professor and Director of the Coatings Research Institute at Eastern Michigan University, USA. He has more than 30 years of combined experience in the field of polymeric materials and coatings, in industrial R&D, technical consulting, and in academia. Prof. Mannari is the recipient of a number of awards and accomplishments, including the Michigan Governor’s Green Chemistry Award in 2012, and was very recently inducted into the National Academy of Inventors (RadTech). His research interests include the development of sustainable polymers and coating materials, sol-gel derived functional coatings, Photo-curable coatings, Non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPU), and the study of structure-property relationships in polymeric materials.
