9780443315763: Waste Heat Recovery, Its Utilization and Performance Assessment: Fundamentals and Application (Emerging Technologies and Materials in Thermal Engineering)

Synopsis

Waste Heat Recovery, Its Utilization and Performance Assessment: Fundamentals and Applications presents a variety of contemporary waste-heat applications designed for use as a guide to identify, utilize, and assess the performance of otherwise rejected waste heat sources in support of energy efficiency, affordable energy, and a reduced carbon footprint. This reference identifies feasible waste heat recovery opportunities from various sectors, including domestic, commercial, and industrial sources. Researchers, professors, and students in the field of thermal engineering will find this an excellent reference to understand waste heat recovery systems, including sources, recovery, conversion technologies, feasibility assessments, case studies, and more.

  • Identifies different sources of recoverable waste heat
  • Develops suitable waste heat recovery technologies for a variety of domestic, commercial, and industrial applications
  • Assesses the techno-economic feasibility of waste-heat driven systems
  • Supports sustainability by leveraging waste heat as a source of renewable heat energy
