The solution of large scale complex problems in computational fluid dynamics requires very high performance computer architectures which can only be achieved by using various forms of parallelism. During the last decade, a large number of computers have been commercially built whose performance has been limited to, at most, a few tens of Giga FLOPS. Now, however, new systems have been announced which offer the promise of Tera FLOPS. This volume contains papers presented at the Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics '94 Conference. Topics covered include: reacting or turbulent flows; distributed memories; FEM and irregular meshes; and implementation on special architecture. Scientists and engineers working in this field, or those interested in the subject, should find this book valuable as a reference to this rapidly developing field.
