Synopsis
The phenomenon of squeezed light is attracting major interest in modern optics due to its promise of many applications in a broad area of science and technology. In this book, which is the first introductory book of its kind, and which is translated from the Japanese, efforts have been made to clarify the basic concepts of the phenomenon of squeezing, as well as adding several new items since the Japanese edition was published in 1990. Furthermore, in order to reinforce the connection from chapter to chapter, the order of chapters has been changed and the total contents have been rearranged and refined for readers who have just started their study of squeezed light. A broad choice of topics emphasise many aspects in the advanced study of this subject. The book will prove a useful reference source for both researchers and students who are interested in current developments in this field.
