Author Michael Brooks, a nationally recognized communications scientist, has taught NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) techniques to hundreds of Fortune 500 executives in his acclaimed seminars. Instant Rapport employs the same NLP principles used by the U.S. Olympic Team, the U.S. Army, and major corporations...in a special self-help format. You'll learn to take command of your business and personal life, communicate better, win clients and attract persons of the opposite sex, have influence over others, overcome social anxiety-and more!
A consultant and expert in neurolinguistic programming, Michael Brooks describes how to use the three communication preferences people have to build rapport. As a short course in relating, influencing, selling, and establishing intimacy, this is a well-organized lesson delivered with quiet authority by Brooks. It succumbs to the temptation to stereotype people into body types and sexual performance types, which takes away some of its credibility. But the many kernels of truth here make it an interesting listen, if not the balanced and seasoned lesson these truths could have supported. The program's overreaching title should warn listeners of its ambitious intentions. T.W. © AudioFile 2003, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
