About the Author
Edward M. Kennedy has represented Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate for 47 years. In 2004, he began interviews at the Miller Center of the University of Virginia for an oral history project about his life. Since then, he has worked closely on this book with Pulitzer Prize winner Ron Powers, co-author of the #1 bestseller Flags of Our Fathers and author of Mark Twain: A Life, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.

Publisher's matching blue cloth slipcase. Includes the original purchase receipts. From a limited edition of 1000 copies, this one numbered 121. This copy is "electronically signed" on the limitation page by Ted Kennedy. This final work from Senator Ted Kennedy was published in October of 2009, two months after his death. This "special edition" was limited to 1000 copies, each selling for $1,000, from the Hachette Book Group. The publisher advertised the book as "electronically signed" by Kennedy, a detail which was missed by many collectors. Senator Kennedy received an $8 million advance on the book, with sales of the "special edition" attempting to recoup their costs. (New York Times, Motoko Rich, 2009). Signed. Seller Inventory # 17924
