Synopsis
A comprehensive book on silkscreen techniques for the artist. Traditional resist stencils, knife cut stencils and photo stencils are all covered in detail. The book also discusses plastic printing, vacuum forming, fabric printing, glass etching etc. Although published in 1976, the basic principles and technologies still apply today. All photographs and illustrations were produced by the author.

From the Author
When I began teaching silkscreen printmaking at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ in 1966 I discovered that there were few contemporary books on the art and technique of silkscreen. Some of those books were more than thirty years old. I vowed to produce a book that would be valuable to the artist, student and teacher, and in 1976 "The Artist's Silkscreen Manual" was published. I was determined that this book should stay in print for at least twenty years. And it did, and even today after forty years used copies are still available.
