"Writing as Kaye WilsonKlem and Cathleen Carleton, Kaye graduated magna cum laude from alarge Midwestern University and was a feature writer and reporter for THEHARTFORD TIMES in Hartford, Connecticut, after college. Kaye beganwriting her first book in a closet under a bare light bulb to keep her toddlerfrom lunching on her manuscript. At that age they'll chew onanything. : ) That historical novel, TOUCH THE SUN was published byDoubleday & Company; and was named best book of the year by the MissouriWriters Guild. Hernewest are DARE THE WILD WIND, sweeping from Scotland to 18thCentury London to the Caribbean, and IMAGE IN IVORY, when a 21stCentury girl is plunged into the American Revolution and a Tory girl lands intoday's world. Her books have been published in British, French, Italian andScandinavian editions. New books are in theworks. She has been listed in OUTSTANDING YOUNG WOMEN OFAMERICA, and has taught Creative Writing for a Community CollegeDistrict. She lives in the suburbs with her Great Dane,Barney. Kaye hastraveled to England,Scotland and Ireland; andto Greece, Hawaii, Tahiti, and Canada, plus most states inthe US. She enjoys music, rock and classical, art museums,theater and film, social events large and small, and good company with booklovers."
