From the Back Cover

Caitlin Cavanaugh likes being in charge. Maybe that's why she's an FBI Special Agent. Her latest assignment: Stop a violent madman in Somersett, South Carolina. But even more challenging is working with former Navy SEAL Quinn McKade, who -- though Cait would never admit it -- makes her feel deliciously out of control.

It takes a sniper to catch a sniper, and McKade begins spending steamy summer nights with Cait, investigating the murders. But when the killer starts leaving chillingly random clues, the pair knows that the murders aren't random. . . and Cait and Quinn could be next.

Reviews

FBI agent Cait Cavanaugh has a massive problem on her hands with a sniper loose in Somersett, South Carolina. After shooting two senior staff members from the local military academy, the gunman has turned to civilian targets. Cait is reluctant to ask ex-Navy SEAL Quinn McKade for help. Even though he is a former sniper, author of a popular book about his exploits, and on the military academy faculty, making him the perfect resource, they share a past. Now sparks fly once again as they try to thwart the killer. It’s tough for Quinn as he relives his SEAL life, and he knows that his first priority is to keep Cait safe, and his second is to act on his desire. As the case heats up, so does the romance. In her latest, Ross focuses on the stress of soldiers and the sacrifices they willingly make for their country, giving readers an unusually thoughtful, first-rate romantic thriller. --Patty Engelmann
