About the Author
Sue Henry is the author of the award-winning Alaska mystery series. She has lived in Alaska for almost a quarter of a century and brings history, Alaskan lore, and the majestic beauty of the vast landscape to her mysteries. She teaches writing at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.

Iditarod veteran, dog trainer, and kennel owner Jessie Arnold, recuperating from a knee injury, agrees to join a lighthouse renovation team with friends who have become its caretakers. They don't realize that some on the Alaskan island have more nefarious activities in mind, including drug smuggling. Jessie's recuperation gives the latest in Henry's series a low-key tone very different from that of previous books. Furthermore, Henry overdoes the details, dulling the suspense. Narrator Staci Snell provides a minimalist narration that manages to enhance the quiet story. While this will appeal most to fans of the series, others may wonder when the excitement of the wilds of Alaska will begin.
