Henry Fielding, a proficient English novelist and dramatist famous for his humorous and satirical portrayal of characters. His most-read masterpieces are "Shamela" (a parody of "Pamela" by Richardson) "Joseph Andrews" and "Tom Jones" a picaresque novel.
