About the Author
Frances Browne was born in Donegal and was blinded by smallpox in infancy. Despite this setback, she earned a living as a writer while living in London, and contributed to the magazine Leisure Hour for 23 years.

Previous owner's gift inscription on front free end paper, rest of interior is unmarked. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. D.Watkins-Pitchford (illustrator). Reprint. 1975 reprint of this delightful book. In blue cloth boards, this is almost immaculate internally but for a loosened colour plate and some toning where a bookmark(?) was left and subsequently removed. Some very light toning to the tops of some pages and foxing to the upper fore edge. The clipped dust jacket shows some edge wear and significant fading to the spine, though the titles are still remarkably clear. Seller Inventory # 007485
