The dust jacket is rubbed, chipped, torn, and shows signs of water damage on the underside. The classical French recipes are explained in a simple and practical way, and there are chapters on using pressure cookers, refrigerators, barbecue, and even slate cooking (A. method used in Andorra) which is reminiscent of the lava rock cooking that had a vogue in the 1980s.
