The Plenary Inspiration Of The Scriptures Asserted, And The Principles Of Their Composition Investigated, With A View To The Refutation Of All Objections To Their Divinity: In Six Lectures (Very Greatly Enlarged) Delivered At Albion Hall, London Wall : With An Appendix, Illustrative And Critical by Samuel Noble defends a fixed, divinely sanctioned method of biblical interpretation—the Doctrine of Analogy—that links natural images to spiritual realities. It argues that prophecy and sacred writing employ a mutual-relations/analogy rule, producing a primary, universal spiritual sense beneath the literal text. The work presents two senses of Scripture—literal and inward spiritual meaning—and applies this framework to key texts (Gog and Magog, Isaiah 63, Matthew 24–25) and to the figure of Christ as the Word of God manifested in two forms: the Son of God as Divine Truth and the Son of Man as Divine Truth accommodated to human perception.
