Con Fantasia: Reviewing and Expanding Functional Italian Skills, 3e, allows readers to use their prior knowledge of Italian as a basis for expansion and practice of more complex linguistic and cultural topics. Each chapter is built around a thematic focus, and the book's activities are related to these themes. In this revised edition, each chapter now features four main parts, each consisting of the same elements, sections, and overall flow--a unique organization of the lexical, grammatical, communicative, and cultural material that distinguishes CON FANTASIA from other intermediate Italian textbooks. The Third Edition presents readers with numerous opportunities to express themselves--an approach designed to encourage confidence from the very start.

“Its strength lies in its ability to bridge the gap between first year textbooks and a more advanced intermediate level. It has a jovial quality, a freshness and playfulness that make it an engaging tool that enables to create a dynamic classroom environment.”
“...the two Grammatica sections are extremely effective as they allow to introduce sections of the vocabulary more systematically and with immediate reinforcement.”
“I like very much the reading selections, the level is appropriate and effective for writing and conversation skill development.”
“CF is a creative, thorough, and culturally up-to-date textbook with excellent communicative activities and a strong grammar focus.”
