I have been involved for over 25 years in international operations and must admit this book is an incredible listing of all the issues one needs to consider before taking the plunge to do business in India—be it sales, procurement, outsourcing, or setting up operations. The thoroughness of the compilation and the comprehensive coverage are awesome. The best part is that no global solutions or answers are offered—just the questions are raised, and the reader allowed to make informed decisions. Cultural specific aside, the content is applicable for making entry into any country.—Alan L. Krishnan, Executive Vice President, Ionidea Inc.
Rupa Bose has encapsulated the most up-to-date, concise advice on how to approach India—from both a business and social perspective. Her writing is clear and informative, helping businesspeople across the world approach India with effectiveness and sensitivity. Her critical advice includes not only what one should do, but also saves time by pointing out well-intentioned activities that could be a waste of time. With a well-balanced perspective, she is equally frank about the hardships and inefficiencies, contrasted with the positively growing marketplaces and opportunities.
