About the Author
Neil Edward Schlecht realized a lifelong dream by trekking to Machu Picchu during a junior year abroad spent in Quito, Ecuador, and he has continued making frequent pilgrimages to Peru ever since. He is the author of several other travel guides, including Frommer's Peru, Buenos Aires Day by Day, Barcelona Day by Day, and Mallorca & Menorca Day by Day. After long stints in Brazil and Spain, he resides in rural Litchfield County, Connecticut.
