Praise for Seeing Lessons

""Tom Sullivan's inspiring story and the life lessons that he shares can help you live your own life with more passion, clarity, and meaning. I know you will find Seeing Lessons to be a great read.""

""What makes this book stimulating is the feeling that the author is speaking with you, not at you. Soon you find yourself looking at commonplace things in a slightly different light. Before long you are relating his stories to your own stories-and seeing them with a new perspective and rekindled enthusiasm. Tom Sullivan's passion is contagious.""
-Betty White

""With Seeing Lessons, Tom Sullivan is truly a gift that keeps on giving as he shares the joys, passions, frustrations, and even the pain of a life lived to the fullest-undaunted by challenges few of us can even imagine. From the Inside Flap

Blind since birth, Tom Sullivan has overcome adversity and become a highly successful singer, composer, actor, author, athlete, and speaker. One of the most important life lessons he has learned, which he has discussed on Oprah and in his keynote speeches and lectures, is the importance of turning disadvantages into advantages. Throughout his life, Tom Sullivan has never encountered a drawback or problem that could not be turned into something positive; he believes that any life event can motivate you to find the strength to become a better person than you ever thought possible. This book shows you how.

In Seeing Lessons’ inspirational 14 Life Secrets, Tom Sullivan shows you how to recognize the defining moments in your life–your turning points–and use them to become your best self. His refreshing self-improvement program provides a simple road map, encouraging you to tap into your own uniqueness, challenge yourself, and live with passion and a renewed appreciation of life. It reveals how you can live life more fully with all your "common senses" while embracing the concept of interdependence with your total being–heart, mind, body, and soul. Sullivan explains how by living with pride and loving other people you can bring more meaning and purpose to your life and the lives of others.

Throughout the book, in his characteristically warm voice, Sullivan tells the stories of his dramatic personal experiences, which are touching, poignant, and funny. He shows how the "seeing lessons" he has learned along the way helped him connect with his wonderful wife, raise his family, and develop his own sense of self-worth–and they can help you as well.

In every chapter, Sullivan offers reflections and exercises to help you achieve your goals. You’ll discover how to face your fear factor, take a leap of faith, and create a well-organized life plan that will bring you balance, gratification, and personal fulfillment.

Filled with anecdotes about Tom Sullivan’s extraordinary life as well as plenty of hard-won advice, Seeing Lessons will motivate you and open your mind and heart to the incredible experience of truly being alive right now.
