About this title

Reviews

Gr. 7-12. Students who want to pursue scientific interests during the summer will find this an invaluable guide to programs offered throughout the U.S. Although most take place on university campuses, other sites include an archaeological dig, an uninhabited barrier island, an Alaskan ice field, and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. The book provides a wide range of options, each with detailed, specific information on the programs. There is also information about science competitions during the school year, scholarship opportunities, resources available to women and minorities, and national agencies that sponsor programs. This is for high-school students, teachers, and counselors, and it may also find a place in parents' collections. Carolyn Phelan
