About the Author
David Shelby Kirk brings over 25 years of programming and programming management experience to CICS: A How-To for COBOL Programmers. Now an independent consultant specializing in IBM mainframe applications development, he was director of systems and programming for a major insurance company, and director of an information center and a development center. In addition to writing books for Wiley-QED (The MVS Primer and COBOL II Power Programmer’s Desk Reference), he is a frequent contributor to Computerworld, Data Training, and other professional journals. He is listed in Who’s Who in the Computer Industry.
