"...a crowning achievement in a career devoted to helping all lawyers, from beginners to veterans, become more knowledgeable in the art of advocacy." - Arthur J. Greenbaum, Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman, PC, New York, NY
"Real" final arguments take place in the jury room - as the jurors re-present the case from their own perspectives. This deliberation is a contest that can mean "winning" or "losing" to your case. In his new book, Herbert Stern teaches you to help jurors, friendly to your side, argue your case in the jury room. Give them the right facts, testimony, and physical evidence. Present them with all the information they need to win your case. Actual trial transcripts show you which tactics to employ and which to avoid. You'll learn how to prepare for summation each day of the trial - in minutes - to pave the way to an unimpeachable final argument!

Volume I discusses the theories and philosophies of litigating cases in direct and cross examination. Volume II implements these methods of conducting direct examination in order to assure a flawless presentation of the case. The author uses trial transcripts from some of the greatest trial lawyers of the past century to illustrate these techniques. Volume III shows the attorney how to argue the case through opposition witnesses, convert the information provided on direct examination to the benefit of the cross examiner's case and limit the direct testimony so it is not detrimental. Also incorporates actual case excerpts and explanations of the techniques. Volume IV defines the ``real'' purpose of summation, outlining the limitations and using actual case studies. Instructs attorneys to teach jurors how to argue their position for them against adversaries in the jury room.
