About the Author:

MARLON DUMAS, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer at QueenslandUniversity of Technology. Dr. Dumas has published extensively ininternational journals and conferences in the areas of businessprocess management and service-oriented computing, and is therecipient of a Smart State Fellowship from the QueenslandGovernment.

WIL M. P. van der AALST, PhD, is Professor at EindhovenUniversity of Technology and Adjunct Professor at QueenslandUniversity of Technology. He is coauthor of the textbook WorkflowManagement: Models, Methods, and Systems, and editor of severalother books in the areas of business process management and Petrinets.

ARTHUR H. M. ter HOFSTEDE, PhD, is Associate Professor atQueensland University of Technology. He, along with Professor vander Aalst, is codesigner of the YAWL workflow language andopen-source system, coauthor of the Workflow Patterns Web site, andcofounder of the International Conference on Business ProcessManagement.
