From the Pre-publication Reviews:
“The text is well written and easy to read. Without sacrificing accuracy and going into too much detail, the authors skillfully present traditional as well as up-to-date information on structure-function relationships of biomolecules. The sample problems are well placed and reinforce basic concepts. Also, the problems at the end of chapters are relevant, original, and thought provoking without being excessive. Students will find the book readable, informative, and enjoyable.” – Paul Azari, Colorado State University
“I found the text exceptionally clear and readable. It does an excellent job of explaining difficult biochemical principles and integrating concepts and systems in a way that will be easily understood and appreciated by students.” – Chrsitine Hrycyna, Purdue University
“My students will like the book because it is easy to read, has clear learning objectives, an interactive CD, and a website where they can go for self-quizzing on key concepts. The authors have thought of everything to make learning biochemistry fun and easy.” – Lisa Wen, Western Illinois University
Kathleen Cornely received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from Cornell University. She has published numerous research articles and is presently Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Providence College. She is a member of the Educational and Professional Development Committee of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and is on the editorial borad for the journal, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education.
