About the Author:

GILBERT J.B. PROBST is Professor for organizational behaviour andmanagement and Director of the MBA programme at the University ofGeneva, Switzerland. He obtained his PhD as well as hishabilitation in business administration from the University of StGallen, Switzerland where he was also a lecturer and Vice Presidentof the Institute of Management. As a visiting faculty memberProfessor Probst taught at The Wharton School of the University ofPennsylvania, Philadelphia, as well as at the InternationalManagement Institute (IMI) in Geneva. Professor Probst is on theboard of a number of companies including Kuoni Travel, Holderbankand Alu Menziken Holding. He is also the President of the board ofSwiss Top Executive Training (SKU). He is a consultant for variousmajor companies such as ABB, Hewlett Packard, Siemens, WinterhurInsurance, Deutsche Bank, UBS and is the author and co-author of anumber of books and journals. His publications deal with thesubjects Learning Organizations, Knowledge Management, SystemicApproaches to Management, Thinking in Networks and Structuring ofOrganizations.

STEFFEN RAUB (Dipl.-Kfm., diplomé ESSEC) holds a PhD inManagement from the University of Geneva. He is currently anAssistant Professor at the School of Management, Asian Institute ofTechnology in Bangkok, Thailand. His research, teaching andconsulting focus on knowledge in organizations and the managementof change. He is a founding partner of the Geneva KnowledgeGroup.

DR KAI ROMHARDT is an independent author, moderator, managementtrainer, and consultant in the field of knowledge management. Heholds an lic. oec. (HSG) from the University of St Gallen, and aPhD from the University of Geneva. He has worked as a consultantfor McKinsey Co. and has directed projects for Swisscom, UBS, andSiemens as a partner of the Geneva Knowledge Group.
