Interaction Activities is divided into three types of activities. The activities in the Social Relations Skills through Conversations unit provide students with a chance to practice common social expressions used for greetings, parting, introductions, congratulation etc. In the section on Community-Oriented Projects, students have the opportunity to learn outside the classroom. Each activity assigns the students a set of questions designed to elicit information from people in the community. Finally, a unit on Problem Solving and Compromising provides group activities in problem solving that encourage group members to reach a unanimous decision through discussion. Topics in this section are selected to stimulate discussion on cross-cultural patters, and to challenge cultural attitudes.
