Synopsis
From back cover: 12 buildings and structures in H-O scale. For generations the typical English village has provided its inhabitants with everything they require from the cradle to the grave: a local inn for food and drink, small shops to meet daily material requirements and a church to satisfy spiritual needs. Now, modelists intrigued by the charm and self-sufficiency of this integral part of British society can cut out and assemble their own authentically detailed rural community, painstakingly recreated here by noted artist Michael Grater and architectural model-maker Marc Swell. Printed in full color on heavy card stock, these quaint and remarkable accurate constructions are H-O scale replicas of buildings found in the south of England. The clapboard inn, for example, is based on the Smuggler's Inn at Alfriston, Sussex, and is typical of many rural hostelries.
