A user-friendly companion for stargazers of all ages, this classic beginner's guide describes all the main sights of the night sky. The newly updated book contains a chapter for each month, describing prominent stars, constellations, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. About the Author
English astronomer Ian Ridpath is the editor of the Oxford Dictionary of Astronomy and Norton's Star Atlas. He is a recipient of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific's Klumpke-Roberts Award for outstanding contributions to the public understanding and appreciation of astronomy.
Wil Tirion is a Dutch celestial cartographer, widely regarded as the world's leading exponent of his art. He is the author of The Cambridge Star Atlas and Sky Atlas 2000.0.
