Synopsis
The Le Mans 24 Hour Race is the most grueling motor racing event in the world, a whole day and night driving at an average speed of 140 miles per hour, hitting 230 mph on the incredible Mulsanne Straight. For Angelica Hofer, a former ski-racer, this is her chance to win the most important race of her life.
But Angelica is racing at Le Mans for more than glory.Her involvement with the three Church brothers and their racing team has a complex and turbulent history. Her co-driver, Micheal Church, is killed in a dress rehearsal foe Le Mans. She has to hold Church Racing together despite the mystery of Micheal's death. She has to stamp out the innuendos that have dubbed her 'the fasted woman in the world' - off the track as well as on it. And she has to persuade the youngest Church brother,Jonty, to take his dead brother's place at Le Mans. Together, Angelica and Jonty will compete in an atmosphere of suspicion, guilt and distrust. The 24 Hour Race is the ultimate test that will either unite them - or destroy them.
