About the Author
Thomas W. Hungerford received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He has taught at the University of Washington and at Cleveland State University, and is now at St. Louis University. His research fields are algebra and mathematics education. He is the author of many notable books for undergraduate and graduate level courses. In addition to ABSTRACT ALGEBRA: AN INTRODUCTION, these include: ALGEBRA (Springer, Graduate Texts in Mathematics, #73. 1974); MATHEMATICS WITH APPLICATIONS, Tenth Edition (Pearson, 2011; with M. Lial and J. Holcomb); and CONTEMPORARY PRECALCULUS, Fifth Edition (Cengage, 2009; with D. Shaw).

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket As Issued. First of all, this book was actually published in 2007 . . . but if I use the 2007 where I'm supposed to the "generator" won't let me use the ISBN. This is a copy of Contemporary Precalculus, A Graphing Approach, Fourth Edition, written by Thomas W. Hungerford. The book is in very good condition. It appears to have been used once. It's a large book with 1006 pages which include a Subject Index, an Index of Applications, 13 Chapters with answers to the odd numbered problems in the back, a Table of Contents, and diagrams throughout. It does NOT have the CD that would allow access to some extra resources in it . . . but it does have alaid in file card with several trig identities. Seller Inventory # 006119
