Kindergarten-Grade 2-Upbeat and positive, these easy-to-read books show children of various ethnic groups engaged in different sports. Emma goes bowling with her dad, Carlos plays soccer with other children, Tim goes on a bike ride with his mom, and Scott goes swimming with his mom. On each spread, one to three lines of text introduce words related to the activity while a full-page color photo depicts the child participating in or demonstrating an aspect of it, or pointing out safety features or equipment. These volumes will suit classrooms and libraries needing additional beginner readers.
