About the Author
Author Jan Mader was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and lives in Columbus, Ohio. She spent several years working for a literacy program for children with reading difficulties. Dissatisfied with the books these children were given, she started writing fun stories for them, with which they could better identify. Soon her first book was published, and educational publishers such as McGraw-Hill and Scholastic began hiring her for projects. Jan is the owner of the "real" Tango, who has quite a story!
