From School Library Journal

Gr 3-4-Although this introductory biography is attractive in format, the information it presents is extremely basic and young readers will not get more than a sketchy portrait of Reno's professional and private life. The use of large, bold print; appropriately placed black-and-white photographs; and wide white margins are inviting, but run-on and complex sentences make the reading difficult for the intended audience. In addition, numerous unfamiliar words such as ``judiciary'' are not explained, while others are defined in the text in parenthesis. This abrupt shift is jarring, and the lack of a glossary is unfortunate. Citations for quotes are not included. A chronology and a brief index appear in tiny print on the last page. Because of Reno's visibility in politics and the news media, this book may find an audience, but it is far from a priority purchase.-April L.
