On the second night, Mr Ratchett has been murdered and Poirot is asked to investigate. The ABC Murders When a serial killer nicknamed "ABC" taunts Poirot in veiled letters and starts to kill people in alphabetical order, the detective enlists the help of Captain Hastings to find the murderer. Cards on the Table Shaitana invites his eight guests to play contract bridge in adjoining rooms. Shaitana settles himself in a chair in the first room. Some time later, Poirot prepares to leave and they find that Shaitana has been murdered, stabbed in the chest with a jeweled stiletto. Death on the Nile Poiroit, on holiday, takes a cruise down the Nile. Linnet is found shot in the head. Race takes charge of the situation and asks Poirot to handle the investigation.
