Explains how to deal with high blood pressure, smoking, obesity, cholesterol, and stress to reduce the chance of heart disease in individuals with a family history of cardiac problems

The number of handbooks prescribing methods for preventing heart disease by leading a healthier life, written by concerned cardiologists, must be well up in the dozens by now. This is another, and its advice is good. Its description of risk factors, its recommendations for diet and exercise, and its readability are also good, although it does not differ much from many other books. Recommended only as an adjunct to large collections in preventive medicine.
