Joan Lunden, familiar to all as a cohost of Good Morning America and author of Joan Lunden's Healthy Cooking, shares her lessons about feeling great in a stressed-out world. Using her own life as an example, Lunden emphasizes the necessity of eating right, exercising, and learning to relax in order to lead a happier life. Lunden knows stress: she went through a very public divorce while battling her weight and trying to balance her career with her home life, which includes raising her three independent-minded daughters.

This picture-laden book shows a new, trim, contented Lunden, and she doles out the sage guidance that got her there--things she's learned from the people in her life, including her mother, Deepak Chopra, her personal trainer, GMA's Nancy Snyderman, and meditation master Jon Kabat-Zinn.

This book is more for the novice who wants to lead a healthier lifestyle than for those already immersed in a workout program and knowledgeable about healthy diets. Occasionally the advice may seem a little sparse, and the methods pricey(Lunden and coauthor Laura Morton train for an expedition to the Grand Tetons by working out an exclusive New York gym), but Lunden's perky tone ("Tan fat looks better than white fat") can't help but inspire even the least-motivated of individuals to get off the couch and try to live a fuller life. --Jenny Brown

About the Author

Joan Lunden, one of the most well-known women in the country, is the longest-running co-host on early morning television.  She joined Good Morning America in the fall of 1976 as a reporter and became a co-host in August, 1980. She is the author of four other books, and the mother of three daughters.

Laura Morton, owner of Golden Advantage Communications, is a television and commercial producer and co-author of Joan Lunden's Healthy Cooking.  She lives in New York City.
