Pedersen (coauthor, Play Money: My Brief but Brilliant Career on Wall Street , LJ 5/1/91) presents savvy advice for the average job seeker. As someone who became a partner in a Wall Street firm at age 21, she confidently dispenses realistic planning tips and concrete steps to take. She has organized an astounding amount of unwieldy information concerning business in the world at large and offers readers the notion of becoming a "career entrepreneur" (with or without a college degree) poised to take full advantage of the opportunities available. For a global economy Pedersen seems to have updated Horace Greeley's popularized "Go West, young man!" to "Go inward, and develop a personal strategy!" Highly recommended for public and academic library collections.
