Synopsis

Ian Ridpath has been a full-time writer, broadcaster and lecturer on astronomy and space for more than twenty-five years. He has written and edited more than 40 books, including A Comet Called Haley (Cambridge, 1985). Wil Tirion made his first star map in 1977. It showed stars to the magnitude of 6.5 and was issued as a set of maps by the British Astronomical Association in 1981. Ian Ridpath is an English astronomy writer and broadcaster, who is also editor of Norton's Star Atlas and the Oxford Dictionary of Astronomy.
Wil Tirion is a Dutch celestial carographer, widely regarded as the leading exponent of his art in the world.
