Book Description
A first introduction to ordinary differential and difference equations. The presentation is very accessible making the book suited not only for mathematicians but also for scientists and engineers, for whom the subject is essential. Both exact solutions methods and qualitative approaches are covered, and many illustrative examples are included. Matlab is used to generate graphical representations of solutions: code is supplied for this. Exercises are plentiful and worked solutions are available for teachers.
About the Author
James C. Robinson is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Warwick. He is an EPSRC Leadership Fellow and has previously held a Royal Society University Research Fellowship.
