About the Author
Associate Professor David Ranson, BM, BS, LL B, MRC Path., FRCPA, DMJ (Path.), is Deputy Director of the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine and heads its pathology division. He is directly involved in training doctors, lawyers, police and forensic scientists in Australia and has been part of similar programmes in the UK. He regularly gives specialist evidence in courts at all levels in Australia and has assisted a number of royal commissions and other official inquiries.
