Upon opening these Pooh Carousel Books into what would normally would be spine-breaking positions, readers are faced with five three-dimensional spreads. The books can be left this way, each a small, decorative panorama. But the real ingenuity is that small dots of Velcro, that which hold the pictures in place, can be detached, and the text of A. A. Milne's stories are revealed in their entirety, with small pop-ups here and there. It's the best of both worlds: a little paper engineering for those who like unusual presentations, and a taste of pure Pooh, all garnish aside. All ages.
