PreS?"Oh, baby, while you sleep...breezes sweep/rivers rush/ crickets hush." So begins this book that features rhyming couplets set on full-page paintings of the natural world. From Africa ("zebras drink"; "hippos wink") to the arctic ("icebergs bump"; "penguins jump") and the rain forest ("lizards creep"; "gibbons leap"), the natural world is brought to life through lush, colorful illustrations that leap off the pages. The lilting rhythm of the verse is reminiscent of Margaret Wise Brown's Goodnight Moon (HarperCollins, 1947).
