From School Library Journal:
Grade 7-12 A lively, entertaining, and comprehensive introduction to careers in diving. The book is divided into four parts: Sports Diving, Commercial Diving, Science and Research, and Additional Specialities (e.g., military, police search, etc.). Each chapter examines a career which is a part of the larger groups mentioned above. For example, chapters in commercial diving include ``Commercial Air Diver,'' ``Bell Saturation Diver,'' ``ROV Technician,'' and ``Salvage Diver.'' A short scenario at the beginning of each chapter presents situations and activities familiar to a particular career. Training requirements are discussed, and the chapters conclude by listing qualities and/or abilities that help assure success on the job. Included are lists of schools for training, diving associations, and publications. Captioned black-and-white stock photos are abundant. This basic and informative book tells what the job is like and what a person does, and it is up to date and readable. Don Reaber, Meadowdale High Sch . , Lynnwood, Wash.
