Born and raised in East LA, received her B.A. for Cal-State LA, and her M.L.S. from U.C.L.A. Worked for the LA County Library System before becomming a youth services librarian for the Tucson-Pima Public library.
Richard Torrey is the author and illustrator of a number of well-loved children's books, including Almost, Why?, and the popular Beans Baker series. Mr. Torrey lives in Shoreham, New York.
