The Out and About: In My Community subset focuses on fun, safe ways our youngest citizens can participate as engaged members of their own communities, as well as how community workers and helpers contribute to their daily lives.Get out your sneakers! About the Authors
Melanie Davis Jones grew up on a farm in Georgia. While living on the farm, she saw her father drive tractors, combines, backhoes, and many other big machines. Mrs. Jones is now a teacher and children's author. She and her husband also build houses. While they build the houses, her sons love to play in the dirt and watch big machines at work. That is what inspired this book. She lives in Warner Robins, Georgia. She has also written Balls in A Rookie Reader series.
He is an Award-Winning Illustrator Who Has Been Illustrating Professionally Since 1990. He and His Wife, Danica, Are Proud New Parents, and When Albert is Not Parenting or Illustrating, He is on the Golf Course.
